Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers has confirmed Stephen Curry will be fit to play in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The guard banged his elbow during Game 2 on Wednesday as the Warriors evened up the series at 1-1 with a 118-91 win at the Oracle Arena.

Curry hit his elbow on a metal platform after leaping into the crowd in an unsuccessful attempt to save a loose ball and the initial swelling caused doubts over his chances of playing in Game 3.

Despite the injury, the 28-year-old stayed in the game, finishing with 28 points and after having treatment on the problem on Thursday appears to have escaped relatively unscathed.

Myers confirmed that the two-time MVP will be ready to play for the NBA champions against the Thunder on Sunday evening and is confident he will not be adversely affected by the issue.

“I just saw him today a little while ago, and it didn’t seem like anything crazy,” he said on Thursday.

“I suppose that’s possible if it keeps gathering fluid in there, but it didn’t seem like a major issue to anybody.

“People aren’t walking around here right now worried about it, so that’s a positive thing.”

The Warriors are currently 1.61 to win Game 3 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, with the Thunder 2.20.

Curry and his side are also the favourites to retain their title at 1.75 ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers at 2.40, Oklahoma 7.50 and the Cavs’ Eastern Conference Finals opponents Toronto who are the 251.00 outsiders.
