Kyle Korver insists the Atlanta Hawks cannot take anything for granted when they face Boston in the Game 3 in the first round of the play-offs.

Korver was at the forefront as the Hawks raced ahead in the pair’s second encounter on Tuesday, grabbing 12 of his 17 points in the first quarter as they eventually claimed an 89-72 win.

It means Mike Budenholzer’s men are currently sitting pretty at 2-0 in the series, but both of those victories came on home court at the Phillips Arena and they now head north to Boston.

The Celtics matched the Hawks’ 48-34 record during the regular season and showed just how even the teams are when they lost by a single point in their opening play-off encounter.

However, much could change over the next two games and Korver knows his team will need to be wary of a backlash when they meet again on Friday.

The 35-year-old is expecting a raucous atmosphere at TD Garden and believes the Hawks will need to be at their very best to maintain their perfect record so far.

“I think Game 3 is going to be the hardest game of the series, for sure,” Korver said. “Boston has a lot of pride. There’s a lot of pride in the Celtics, the logo, the uniform and the history.

“They’re like a superpower, you know what I mean? Their fans are amazing. It’s a great sports town. It’s going to be rocking.”

Atlanta’s strong start has seen them move in to 34.00 to win the NBA Championship outright while the Celtics currently find themselves out at 151.00.
