Chelsea attacking midfielder Eden Hazard is determined to rediscover his best form after enduring a campaign to forget at Stamford Bridge last season.

The Belgian international claimed three Player of the Year awards as the Blues were crowned Premier League champions during 2014-15, but he was unable to replicate that form last term.

Hazard only scored four goals in 31 league appearances for the west London club last season, with the 25-year-old’s first strike not coming until the end of April.

Chelsea could only finish the campaign in tenth position, a full 31 points behind eventual champions Leicester, and Hazard is determined to help the club improve drastically during the upcoming campaign.

He said: “I want to be the best, like I was two years ago.

We’ve got to show to everyone we’re Chelsea, we’re big players, a big team and we didn’t finish in a good place last season. No we want to do better and win the Premier League.”

The former Lille ace was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge last season, but he insists he is happy in west London, and he is keen to help new boss Antonio Conte enjoy success during the upcoming campaign.

“I said after a season like that, I wanted to stay because I didn’t want to finish like this,” Hazard added.

“If I must leave Chelsea one day, I hope I can finish well here and be a champion again.

I played a very bad season. It’s easy to say now I was tired. Even when I’m not at the maximum level I want to play well.”

Chelsea are available at 6.00 to claim Premier League glory this season, while they are priced at 1.57 to secure a top four finish come the end of the campaign.
