Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech and defender John Terry trained on Tuesday ahead of the Blues’ Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has twice claimed Cech’s season was over after he dislocated his shoulder in the first leg while skipper Terry was substituted after injuring his ankle in the 0-0 draw.

But both trained in front of the cameras at Chelsea’s open session on Tuesday to give Blues fans added hope going into Wednesday’s clash at Stamford Bridge.

Eden Hazard and Samuel Eto’o were also fit enough to train after calf and knee problems respectively and could be involved after missing the first leg.

Chelsea will be without midfielders John Mikel Obi and Frank Lampard who are suspended for the return leg after picking up their second yellow cards of the knockout stages at Atletico’s Vicente Calderon stadium last week.

Mourinho said after the match in Spain that both Cech and Terry would miss the rest of the Premier League season, stating that the defender would only feature again if his club reached the Champions League final on May 24.

Cech took part in a collective warm-up before having a personalised drill with the goalkeeping coach at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, answering: “Of course,” when asked if he was fit to play again.

Atletico will be without suspended captain Gabi on Wednesday with Former Chelsea midfielder Tiago Mendes expected to take his place.
