Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke
insists the club will not be looking to bring in any more signings before the start of the new season.

Dortmund, who are priced at 6.00 to win the Bundesliga title, have been one of Europe’s busiest clubs over the course of the summer window as they look to put further pressure on champions Bayern Munich.

BVB have sold Mats Hummels to rivals Bayern, while Ilkay Gundogan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have joined Manchester City and Manchester United respectively, but they have wasted no time in finding replacements.

Thomas Tuchel has been handed funds to enhance his already impressive squad and has drafted in eight fresh faces with the hope of challenging for the title once again.

Marc Bartra, Sebastian Rode, Mario Gotze, Andre Schurrle, Ousmane Dembele, Emre Mor, Mikel Merino and Raphael Guerreiro will all play for the Signal Iduna Park outfit next term.

Watzke feels the squad is now really competitive and admitted the only other business possibly on the cards will be departures. “As things stand, there will be no more new arrivals before the end of the transfer window,”

he said. “If anything, we already have too many players at the moment.”

The Dortmund chief insists they will not do anything to risk their financial stability and believes Tuchel will be able to get a positive response results from the newly-bolstered squad.

“We will not be bringing in any key players who just won the Champions League with Real Madrid,” he added.

“We cannot afford to do anything more than not getting into debts and make sure we are financially stable.”
