Midfielder Tom Rogic insists he will play anywhere that boss Ronny Deila wants him to in order to help Celtic beat Ajax in their vital Europa League game on Thursday.

The Bhoys find themselves propping up the Group A table with just two points from four games played and need to get something from the clash to make sure they go into the final round of matches with a chance of progressing to the knock-out stage of the competition.

Molde have already qualified for the second phase after winning three and drawing one of their games while Fenerbahce have five points and Ajax three, and so second spot is still up for grabs.

The Hoops know that a win is essential but will go into the clash with a number of absentees due to injury and suspension.

Nir Bitton and Stefan Johansen are banned while Kris Commons and captain Scott Brown are injury doubts, leaving Rogic as one of the few fit midfielders.

The Australia international usually plays as an attacking midfielder but may well have to adopt a holding role for the visit of the Dutch giants.

And the 22-year-old has made it clear that he is not precious about his favoured place on the park and is happy to chip in for the cause.

“We haven’t talked about tactics just yet but whatever decision the manager makes I am happy to play either an attacking or defensive role,” he said.

Celtic are 2.44 to beat Ajax and move above the Amsterdam outfit, who can be backed at 2.88 to leave Scotland with all three points and increase the misery for the home fans in Europe this term.
