Jese Rodriguez is confident he can establish himself as a regular starter for Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG host Arsenal in their Champions League opener on Tuesday and are 1.91 to claim a win, with Jese desperate to be involved.

The 23-year-old forward joined the Parisian giants in the summer from Real Madrid and made a full debut in Friday’s 1-1 draw with Saint-Etienne.

Jese saw the start of his career in France disrupted by appendicitis surgery but says he is now fully fit and ready to challenge Edinson Cavani and the club’s other forwards for a starting role with the Parc des Princes outfit.

“Cavani is a great player, but I am nobody’s backup,” he told Le Parisien. “We are all fighting to be starters. My favourite role is either central of left-sided attacker.

“I was forced to rest a bit and then I had to do double training sessions to regain my form and fitness. “Now, the most important thing is that I can train every day and adapt to my new life.”

PSG/b> are yet to find top form this season under new coach Unai Emery and are seeking to get back to winning ways against Arsenal after defeat at Monaco and the home draw with Les Verts.

The Gunners can be backed at 4.20 ahead of Tuesday’s fixture and a draw is 3.60. PSG are 15.00 to win the Champions League outright and 1.60 to finish top of Group A.
