Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho insists his squad are raring to go for Thursday’s “must win” Europa League clash with Zorya Luhansk.

The Ukrainian outfit will travel to Old Trafford on Thursday with the hope of trying to upset the odds after drawing 1-1 with Fenerbahce on their first outing.

United, who can be backed at 1.50 to win the Premier League, were beaten in their opening Group A clash when Feyenoord snatched a 1-0 victory at De Kuip and Mourinho is keen to avoid a repeat performance.

The Red Devils failed to get going in what was a difficult period, which also saw them lose to Manchester City and Watford in the Premier League.

However, Mourinho’s men returned to winning ways with an emphatic 4-1 win over Leicester at the weekend and the Portuguese is keen to see them build on that momentum.

The former Chelsea boss has admitted that Thursday’s tie is hugely important if they want to avoid coming under serious pressure in their remaining Europa League matches. Mourinho said: “It’s very important. “To be honest I think we have to win.

“If we don’t win, we have four matches [left in the group] and I would say we have to all the last four matches, which is difficult. We need to win.”

Mourinho made a number of changes to his side for the loss to Feyenoord but he is ready to change his approach with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anthony Martial ready to start.

He added: “Zlatan starts. “We have two matches and then he has two weeks without football. For him he just has to play tomorrow and then against Stoke [City on Sunday], then two weeks without football.

Zlatan is one of the players who will have plenty of time to recover. “He [Martial] is now recovered from the contusion – not a concussion. He has recovered and he is ready.”
