Germany international Miroslav Klose has denied reports linking him with a move back to the Bundesliga.

The former Bayern Munich striker, now plying his trade with Lazio in Serie A, was claimed to have been interested in a move to Bayer Leverkusen who are currently flying high in their domestic league.

However, he has angrily dismissed the newspaper reports.

Klose said: “What they have written are lies, the first club I’ll speak with will be Lazio.

“I spoke four months ago and I spoke of the chance to go to America, but it’s normal because my contract expires at the end of the season.

“But the first team I’ll speak with is Lazio and when the right moment comes, we’ll sit down and talk.

“Regarding Leverkusen, it’s all lies. I never talked with this newspaper, which I do not know.

“This worries me because the fans can get the wrong idea. Now it is important for me to play and give everything for the team.

“I’m here to tell you the truth; the rest is all lies.”Klose has a shoulder injury at present while Lazio are currently struggling in 12th place in Serie A ahead of Sunday’s fixture with Livorno.

At the age of 35, Klose harbours hopes of figuring in Germany’s World Cup plans one more time before retiring from the international stage.
