Neymar has stressed he has no intention of leaving Barcelona following claims he is a target for Paris Saint-Germain.

Neymar managed 20 goals in all competitions for Barcelona last season and came in for criticism at times, but he feels he was on top of his game despite failing to match his tally of 30 in the previous campaign.

French giants PSG are reportedly ready to trigger the Brazilian’s release clause with a €220million [£195m] bid this summer, but Neymar has insisted he isn’t looking to leave Camp Nou.

“The last one was my best season in Barcelona” he told Goal.

“I am very adapted to the city, the club and I am happy here. That is reflected on the performance of an athlete.

“It was the season where I felt more comfortable, even though we did not win the titles we would have wanted.

We played great games and lived incredible moments. Now, we need to work for the 2017-18 season so it will be even more positive individually and as a group.”

Barcelona fell short in their bid to land the La Liga crown last season as fierce rivals Real Madrid took the top prize, with Los Blancos also emerging victorious in Europe by winning the Champions League.

Barcelona are 1.95 to win the La Liga 2017-18 title and Real are 1.91 to successfully defend the trophy.

The Catalan giants are rated at 5.50 to win the Champions League outright and Real are 6.00.
