Leicester winger Marc Albrighton has issued a rallying cry to his side after they were beaten 3-0 by Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

The comprehensive defeat at Stamford Bridge was the reigning champions’ fourth loss in as many away league matches so far this season, and they are currently languishing in 13th position in the overall standings.

The Foxes only lost two away matches in the top-flight during the whole of last season and former Aston Villa winger Albrighton has called for his side to rediscover the kind of form that saw them claim overall glory during the 2015-16 campaign.

“We’ve got to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and go again,” he told the club’s official website. “There’s no point dwelling on it.

We need to get this out of our minds and get back to what we’re good at: fighting all over the pitch, getting the spirit of the team, getting in people’s faces, be harder to play against, harder to beat and be harder to score against.”

The 26-year-old insists his side’s performances have not been good enough of late, and he believes they must stop conceding so many easy goals.

He added: “We’ve got to stop what we’re doing to get ourselves in this position. It’s not good enough. We’re too easy to score against, we’re too easy to beat.

We as players need to stand up and be counted.” Leicester’s league form is in stark contrast to their performances in the Champions League, where they have won both of their matches so far this season, away against Club Brugge and at home to Porto.

Next up for the Foxes is a home match against Copenhagen in Europe’s premier club competition on Tuesday, and they are available at 1.85 to win the match, while the visitors are on offer at 4.33 and the draw is priced at 3.30.
