Leicester forward Ahmed Musa believes his side can gain a positive result when they take on Sevilla in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Wednesday.

The Foxes will head to the south of Spain following a poor run of results that has seen them slip to just a point outside the Premier League relegation zone while they also exited the FA Cup at the hands of League One Millwall last weekend.

Nigeria international Musa believes victory in Andalusia will give the squad a huge boost for the remaining months of the season.

“We are going there to do our best,” Musa told the club’s official website.

“I think with the confidence we have with the boys at training ground, we are going to go there and play very well. If we can win there, I think the confidence will be back.”

The 24-year-old added: “It is one of the tournaments people want to play in. For the group, we are happy to be in next round. We are working very hard to try to go there and win.

“We have to focus on the Champions League because we know that is very important for the team.”

Leicester are 8.50 to win Wednesday’s match while Sevilla are available at 1.40 to secure a first-leg advantage, with the draw on offer at 5.00.
