Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says he is not done in the transfer market and is looking to make further additions before the closure of the summer window.

The Reds are 10.00 to win the Premier League title after going so close last season and Rodgers hopes with one or two more additions they will be able to go a step further.

The problem for Liverpool is the fact that Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United are also strengthening their ranks ahead of a title push, while they have also lost Luis Suarez to Barcelona.

However, six players have been brought in at a cost of £90million as Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren have arrived from Southampton along with Lille striker Divock Origi, Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Emre Can and Benfica winger Lazar Markovic.

Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno and Atletico Madrid right-back Javi Manquillo could be the next players to arrive at Anfield.

Moreno is expected to cost Liverpool £20million while Manquillo will join initially on loan with a view to a permanent £6million deal.

Chief executive Ian Ayre has flown to Spain to wrap up the deals.

“We still have some business to do,” he said. “We have some positions that we want to fill so by the end of August we’ll have a strong squad to go forward with.”
