Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed he is interested in the vacant posts at Cardiff City and Fulham.

The Championship clubs parted company with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Felix Magath this week following poor starts to the season.

While Solskjaer resigned, the Cottagers sacked Magath and both clubs will be looking for their replacements as soon as possible.

Lennon has been without a job since May after he decided to leave Celtic after four successful years in charge. He was linked with the Crystal Palace job before Neil Warnock returned to Selhurst Park.

The 43-year-old won three Scottish league titles and two Scottish Cups during his tenure and he insists he is interested in both posts as he looks to return to management.

“They are two excellent clubs. Would I be interested in managing either of them? Of course I would,” he said on BBC Radio 5 live.

“I want a new challenge. I had a great challenge for four years at Celtic but I felt I had come to the end of the cycle there and wanted to do something else with my career.

“I’m hoping to be in work sooner rather than later.

“I had four years in a goldfish bowl and it gets very intense. I have enjoyed the break, even though I didn’t think I would, but you can only do that for so long.”
