Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal has told international team-mate Alexis Sanchez he must leave Arsenal this summer and join the Bundesliga champions if he wants to be compared with the best.

Sanchez is one of the best players in the Premier League and he has been crucial for Arsenal since joining from Barcelona in 2014, scoring 53 goals from 103 Premier League appearances.

But, the Chile international has become increasingly frustrated this season due to the club’s failure to challenge for the league title and missing out on Champions League football for next term could prove to be the final straw.

The 28-year-old is only looking to compete on the biggest stage and the Europa League, which was clinched by Manchester United this season, will not suffice for the forward.

He only has one more year left on his current deal at the Emirates and there doesn’t appear to be any breakthrough in agreeing terms for an extension beyond the end of the next campaign.

Sanchez’s future is very unclear but Vidal, who moved to Bayern in 2015 from Italian champions Juventus, believes his fellow Chilean should come and join him at the Allianz Arena to further his career.

“I told him it was the opportunity for him to be in a big team,” he told reporters in Chile ahead of his country’s friendly with Burkina Faso on Saturday.

“If he wants to compare with the best, he has to go to the best team.”

Arsenal, who finished fifth this year, are priced at 13.00 to win the title next season while they are 2.00 chance to finish in the top-four.
