Morgan Schneiderlin admits he is enjoying life at Everton and believes the club can mount a serious challenge for a top-four finish next season.

The France international moved to Goodison Park from Manchester United for a reported £20million during the January transfer window, going on to become a regular feature in the heart of the Toffees midfield, scoring once in 14 Premier League appearances.

The 27-year-old admits he is enjoying his football once again after featuring just eight times for United in all competitions over the first half of the season.

“I’m very happy to be here, very happy to come in every day and happy – like I’ve said since the beginning – to find the joy on my face again, to play week in and week out and, most importantly, have good games,” Schneiderlin said.

The former Southampton ace believes he can improve further next season and is convinced Everton, who finished seventh during the 2016-17 campaign, can challenge for a top-four place next term.

He added: “That’s what I’m going to try to do next season, have no little injuries or things like that and play every game.

That’s my main focus and I want to improve and help this team to be in the top four.”

The Toffees have only finished in the top four once during the Premier League era and are priced at 10.00 to achieve the feat again next season.
