Hugo Lloris says Tottenham still believe they can land the Premier League title this season, despite trailing leaders Chelsea by four points.

Chelsea are 1.13 to win the Premier League outright and Spurs can be backed at 6.00. Spurs lost out to the Stamford Bridge side at Wembley in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Saturday, going down 4-2 despite dominating for large periods.

The White Hart Lane side had been keen to reaffirm their title credentials with a cup win at the weekend but it wasn’t to be, and now keeper Lloris has urged his team-mates to put that disappointment behind them and focus on chasing down the pacesetters in the remaining weeks of the campaign.

“We know that they [Chelsea] have an advantage but we need to believe until the end,” Lloris said. “We knew before that this game can have maybe an impact for the rest of the season.

“But in football you need to believe because everything is possible and we don’t know what will happen in the next few weeks.

“They are human and that’s the case for us. The only thing that we can do is keep working hard, keep believing and playing the same way that we play in the last few weeks.”

Spurs face a tough trip to Crystal Palace on Wednesday and they are 1.67 to come out on top.

Palace, who have record victories over Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool in April, are 5.50 to claim a win that would surely end any lingering threat of relegation and a draw can be backed at 4.00.
