Celtic captain Scott Brown insists that team work is key if they are to upset to odds and beat Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Bhoys were left red face after their opening fixture in Group C fixture when Barcelona came out 7-0 winners at the Nou Camp.

Celtic will be looking to find their feet in Europe on Wednesday night but face a tough task in trying to stop Manchester City.

The Citizens have won their first 10 games of the season in all competitions since Pep Guardiola took charge and will prove tricky customers at Parkhead.

Brendan Rodgers admitted that his men were too passive against Barcelona last time out and has urged his squad to put up more of a fight on home soil.

Skipper Brown has backed up his manager’s comments and stressed the importance of working as a unit if they are to stop City.

Brown said:”It’s about getting touch tight. We sat off Barcelona and admired them more than anything, letting them play and show what good players can do to you if you sit off them.

“We need to get touch tight, get our bodies in and try to win the battles all over the park.

“We’re going to have to work as a team. We’re going to have defend a lot better than the last Champions League game, we’re going to have to composed on the ball and take our chances if we get them.”

Celtic can be backed at 8.50 to pick up a victory at Parkhead, while the draw is priced at 5.50 and City are available at 1.33.
