Williams have confirmed that Susie Wolff will drive for the team during practice at the British and Spanish Grands Prix in 2015.

The 32-year-old has already driven the new FW37 during pre-season testing, where she completed 86 laps at the Circuit de Catalunya.

Wolff was four seconds behind pacesetter Pastor Malondado on that occasion but she continues to learn behind the scenes with Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas currently the main two drivers at Williams.

She will also drive the new car during the in-season testing period at the Red Bull Ring following the Austrian Grand Prix.

Wolff was the first female since Giovanna Amati in 1992 to take part in a race weekend at Silverstone last year and deputy team principal Claire Williams admits she continues to impress with her performances.

In 2014 she made her debut during P1 at the British Grand Prix and Wolff insists she is ready to deliver in 2015.

“Our focus this year is to build on the success of 2014 – I’ve been training hard all winter and I am physically in the best shape I’ve ever been, so I am ready for the season ahead,” Wolff said.

“As official test driver I will have additional time in the FW37 and by correlating this with my work in the simulator, the team can ensure we are getting the best from the car and check how updates are performing.”

Mercedes have impressed in testing but Williams are hoping to repeat their successful performances from the 2014 campaign.

They are currently 15.00 to win the Constructors’ Championship with Dafabet.
